Peaceful fish that makes a small territory. The aquarium should be set up with stones, driftwood and roots, and should be planted very densely because they need a lot of hiding places. You should use some floating plants and the light must be dimmed. A regular changing of the water is necessary.
Badis ruber originates from the lowlands of Myanmar, Northern Thailand and Laos, mostly in the en dan met Yeyarwady/Irrawaddy, Sittaung to Tenasserim and the Mekong riversystems.
You should give them small live food. They barely accept dry food.
Breeding Badis ruber
